Shark Draught is the latest brainchild of the enterprising group of business people behind the Peninsula Hotels Group.
Although it has only been on the market a few weeks, their new project is already causing local drinkers to look beyond the standard offerings.
We wanted to develop a natural beer with wide appeal, but with a cleaner, crisper finish , says Peninsula Hotels Group representative Rob Pitt Rather than take what is dished up to us by the big brewers, we wanted to have more control over the product and to develop something that appealed to a younger demographic, who are bit more adventurous in their drinking .
To create their ideal product, the owners of the five hotels that make up the Peninsula Hotels Group sat down in a day-long blind panel tasting with the head brewers of Laverton s Independent Distilleries.
The result is a clean-tasting, naturally brewed beer that is 100 Peninsula owned.

The Grand Hotel A Grand The Peninsula waters are getting colder, but the region is bracing itself for a major shark attack this winter and, by the time people return to the beaches this summer, the attack is expected to have reached a frenzy.
Shark Draught is the latest brainchild of the enterprising group of business people behind the Peninsula Hotels Group.
Although it has only been on the market a few weeks, their new project is already causing local drinkers to look beyond the standard offerings.
We wanted to develop a natural beer with wide appeal, but with a cleaner, crisper finish , says Peninsula Hotels Group representative Rob Pitt Rather than take what is dished up to us by the big brewers, we wanted to have more control over the product and to develop something that appealed to a younger demographic, who are bit more adventurous in their drinking .
To create their ideal product, the owners of the five hotels that make up the Peninsula Hotels Group sat down in a day-long blind panel tasting with the head brewers of Laverton s Independent Distilleries.
The result is a clean-tasting, naturally brewed beer that is 100 Peninsula owned.
With the right recipe locked-down, their thoughts then turned the marketing of the beer.

Shark Draught is the latest brainchild of the enterprising group of business people behind the Peninsula Hotels Group.
Although it has only been on the market a few weeks, their new project is already causing local drinkers to look beyond the standard offerings.
We wanted to develop a natural beer with wide appeal, but with a cleaner, crisper finish , says Peninsula Hotels Group representative Rob Pitt Rather than take what is dished up to us by the big brewers, we wanted to have more control over the product and to develop something that appealed to a younger demographic, who are bit more adventurous in their drinking .
To create their ideal product, the owners of the five hotels that make up the Peninsula Hotels Group sat down in a day-long blind panel tasting with the head brewers of Laverton s Independent Distilleries.
The result is a clean-tasting, naturally brewed beer that is 100 Peninsula owned.
With the right recipe locked-down, their thoughts then turned to the marketing of the beer.

Shark Draught is the latest brainchild of the enterprising group of business people behind the Peninsula Hotels Group.
Although it has only been on the market a few weeks, their new project is already causing local drinkers to look beyond the standard offerings.
We wanted to develop a natural beer with wide appeal, but with a cleaner, crisper finish , says Peninsula Hotels Group representative Rob Pitt Rather than take what is dished up to us by the big brewers, we wanted to have more control over the product and to develop something that appealed to a younger demographic, who are bit more adventurous in their drinking .
To create their ideal product, the owners of the five hotels that make up the Peninsula Hotels Group sat down in a day-long blind panel tasting with the head brewers of Laverton s Independent Distilleries.
The result is a clean-tasting, naturally brewed beer that is 100 Peninsula owned.
