The Perfect Shirt Born and raised on the Mornington Peninsula Melanie was always going to end up settling and raising her own family here some day but was unsure if she could translate her career in the fashion industry down to the Peninsula.
Most of the fashion houses manufacturers and opportunities within the fashion industry are based in the city so I was unsure of how I could establish a career in fashion down here on the Mornington Peninsula.
Melanie started her career in the large fashion house, Voyager, based in Carlton working for Solomon Lew, one of the major players in Australian fashion.
Starting as an assistant to the production manager of the well known label JUMP, Melanie's career progressed quickly and she ended working as the account manager for Sussan.
After 12 years in the same company Melanie decided it was time to start a family and left the career she both, knew and loved.
I wanted to be a stay at home Mum but did not want to leave the fashion industry all together so after some brain storming and market research Off the Kuff was born.
