goodlife fashion lunch at the mornington races Our 18th Goodlife Fashion Lunch at the Mornington Racecourse was held in aid of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation in May.
For this lunch we chose a race day in the Chairman s Marquee to be close to the action and whilst the proceedings may have looked a little chaotic with the extra elements in play, and despite the logistics of getting our models through the mounting yard gates between races , the parade and the proceedings basically went off without a hitch.
Our own in-room bookie and the fantastic trackside location overlooking the mounting yard added to the theatre of the day.
Many of our guests enjoyed a flutter just as many had never been to the races before so it was quite an exciting experience.
The silent auction and raffle raised just under 4,000 for the OCRF and for more information on the important work they do please see our story page 114.
Many thanks to our local boutiques and their gorgeous models who provided some fabulous fashion insights into what we will be wearing this season, and to our wonderful MC Annette Sanfilippo who held it all together.
Thanks too, to John Wells our own BigO from Drawcard Entertainment for his great music, David and his team from Wise Choice Catering whose food and delivery was faultless and delicious and to the amazingly generous owners and operators of businesses across the Peninsula who donated the gifts and goods.
Personal thanks to my tireless team who always go the extra mile Melissa and Amy and still keep smiling.
