women'sbusiness Back to their Roots with Fresh Inspiration to Harvest Home at last That s certainly how it seems for the team at Harvest Management which has just moved into new premises in Kenji Street in Mornington after 2.5 years in Frankston When Harvest started business in Mornington over 7 years ago, it was primarily because it was close to home for owner and founder Ingrid Maynard.
But being located in this area, close to the beach where more and more people were escaping from the city, proved to be far more than just convenient.
For the first 4 years of its life, Harvest attracted locals to join its rapidly growing team.
Locals who had realised that finally there was a place they could utilise their corporate background without needing to travel to the city every day.
At Harvest, many Peninsula locals had found a place where the work life family balance could truly exist.
With the Company quickly expanding over 2007 and 2008 to total a team of 20 however, the need to relocate was inevitable.
Back then, office space in Mornington was rare and so the team moved to Frankston and while very pleasant and not that far away, the whole Team would recognise that the new offices didn t really seem to feel quite the same.
I have to be honest I never felt like we really moved in Or maybe it s more that we never really left Mornington Our work home is wherever our team is, but when we restructured we felt like the space in Frankston was much too big for us We knew we d need to move when our 3 years was up Ingrid Maynard.
Before the lease expired however, Ingrid was presented with a new office space in Mornington, and she jumped at the chance to make the move back.
The company now sees the relocation as a new chapter in its history about to be written.
With a new environment there s a new energy and sense of optimism.
Back in their spiritual home is enhancing the Team s productivity and creating a new perspective as to how to continually improve the way it delivers results for its Clients.
Harvest works hard to maintain its uniqueness in the market place.
For Harvest s clients, it s all about the value of the meetings delivered qualified according to their requirements, at a number that is guaranteed within a time frame.
It s an approach Ingrid is proud of We re working with a consultant at the moment who has questioned our guarantee he thought it was a bad idea because clients may call us on it That s the point We do it because we re confident of our experience, ability and track record and wouldn t take on a client we didn t feel we could delight with our delivery.
However, we understand that since the GFC, more companies than ever before are sick of being fed rubbish by Business Development people promising the world and delivering nothing.
We bring them our skin in the game.
If we don t back ourselves, why should they There are a few factors behind their success.
