cool climate wine show A fabulous night at the Mornington Racecourse celebrated the presentation of trophies and awards for the winning wines at the Cool Climate Wine Show.
Rated as the best ever by the Chairman of Judges, Mike De Garis, this year s Cool Climate Wine Show attracted over 687 entries from 150 wineries.
Local winners included Red Hill Estate which took out the People s Choice for their 2007 Chardonnay and Best Wine of the Show went to Elgee Park for their 2009 Elgee Park Family Reserve Chardonnay.
This wine also won Best White Wine and Best Chardonnay.
Needless to say it is in limited supply Elgee Park is the oldest vineyard on the Peninsula and winemaker Geraldine McFaul was thrilled.
