love Mt Eliza for so many reasons - the bustling village atmosphere, beautiful cliff top views and proximity to the rest of the Mornington Peninsula, just to name a few.
Our shopping village is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike, with tree lined streets which are home to over 100 specialty boutiques and businesses offering everything from interior design to fine fashion and footwear, plus several great restaurants.
Whether stopping for a coffee at the Mt Eliza Deli or enjoying fine dining at Verde, the village is a great place to eat, socialise, relax and even get the grocery shopping done.
Fashionistas have no shortage of choice with exquisite Egyptian jewellery available at Gouzlan and a mix of Australian and European designer labels stocked at Chris Yates and Euro.
Keeping your crowning glory under control is easy with a little help from the Mt Eliza Hair Studio, while Blush is one of our best kept secrets for top to toe pampering.
As locals, we're lucky to be able to take advantage of this great location and enjoy regular events such as the Christmas Fair - no wonder the visitors keep coming back too.
- Helen JonesEating out in Mt Eliza is a real pleasure especially in the Village which is endowed with so much choice.
Lunchtime options are many and varied and range from cafes and delis to the fabulous CBs, Verde, Spoon and the award winning Bistro Maison Wed-Sun .
The Lintons Caf at Eden Gardens is also a great escape - wonderful taste treats in a fabulous setting and a favourite with locals and 'out of towners' .
Verde has gone from strength to strength since opening and attracts a loyal local clientele as well as visitors from many different parts of Victoria.
New owners, the Debono family, have introduced even more wonderful dishes to an already extensive Italian influenced menu and the Verde Bar is a great meeting place and venue for small private functions.
They offer a great range of daily specials on the blackboard as well and Verde is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner It is advisable to book in the evenings.
Very friendly service and a delightfully casual ambience - you'll always feel welcome at Verde where nothing appears to be too much trouble.
Over the road at Bistro Maison Rachael and Bernard McCarthy of Salix fame, have weaved their magic to create a little touch of France in the heart of Mt Eliza.
Recently awarded Best Regional European Restaurant it was inspired by the excellent suburban bistros of Paris, is always busy and highly regarded by patrons and obviously the judges agreed.
Bistro Maison is all about community and in the French tradition is at once a place for families to gather, romantics to nestle and food and wine loves to celebrate their good fortune As with their multi-award winning Salix Restaurant, Bistro Maison celebrates the Peninsula's remarkable produce, with fresh an seasonal as the driving force.
The menu is classic French cuisine at the more rustic end and including many of the famous and favourite dishes you would hope for.
At Bistro maison they offer a night on the town with first floor views of the Bay and City lights, fabulous service from charming waiters to enhance the experience and the wine list including wine by the glass offers some exciting French selections with, of course, Peninsula wines and their excellent house wines sourced from oneof the region's top makers.
Now open for lunch Wednesday - Sunday and dinner 6 nights.
