Putting the u back into comm nity 21st GoodLife Fashion Lunch In this 21st century society much is made of virtual reality- social networking is via facebook or twitter- personal contact is diminishing.
Less and less are we interacting with our neighbours, regularly shopping locally so that we know our shopkeepers by name.
Busy lives means fewer of us are involved with our children s, or grandchildren s, kinder or school and committees are lacking willing volunteers to keep things running and organise events.
Everyone needs connection with other beings.
In one sense connection could be seen as the ultimate survival instinct.
This is equally as valid in family and partner relationships as it is in business and our relationships with colleagues.
The need for connection is represented by the human desire to communicate with, relate to and receive love from those around us.
