The Cups Estate - BEAT THE RUSH With Bass Strait s ocean beaches nearby, The Cups Estate is located in the middle of the Peninsula s premier golf region and hence the name.
You may have already heard the buzz around the cups cellar door and restaurant so now is the time to visit before it becomes too hard to get a seat.
The rotunda shaped cellar door perched high overlooking spectacular views of the magnificent cups region houses the diverse multi-award winning range of wines made by renowned winemaker Rick McIntyre.
While taking in the views and tasting the wines the cups staff are informative and friendly and offer a relaxed environment plus useful knowledge about the wine and area.
The Cellar Door also offers a European inspired tapas lunch restaurant and it is proving to be very popular.
The Cups have been working hard introducing new items to the light and fresh menu, including a pepper encrusted yellow fin tuna Carpaccio on a shaved fennel salad, plus adding lots of home-made chef specials that will change weekly and keep things fresh.
The latest exciting endeavour includes a vegetable and herb garden situated on the property.
The large veggie patch will supply the majority of fresh produce on the menu and will ensure that you are getting fresh and seasonally changing produce.
Self sufficiency is a key point of difference for regional restaurants.
When you have the land that city restaurants don t then you need to take advantage of it.
We are all about sharing and expressing what our land has to offer and now that includes the wine and the food.
