GoodLife: Peninsula Style, Issue 45, Page 004 (transcription)

Dear Readers - Welcome to Spring...
Nice to think that winter is behind us and we can look forward to warmer weather and maybe not so much flu Let s hope optimism is just as infectious once we get a decent glimpse of sunshine.
In this issue Annette Sanfilippo is excited about the prospect of the vibrant colours and patterns which are forecast for spring summer fashions and of course the racing This edition we have more great features for you.
Lots of Good News with awards for Salix and Terminus and the Grand Hotel and expectations of Chef s Hats for several restaurants as we go to press.
Great new business stories too and in the modern landscape of megastores so nice to see a resurgence of the Greengrocer .
I thought their energy had one thing in common Spring Fever - but imagine my surprise when I googled it and found that Spring Fever is more like lethargy Maybe we are the exception to the rule.
Karen is revelling in the annual spring clean Debra Mar s focus is on home, she s renovating herself and very into it, Dianne hs some great ideas for Spring and Clutterbusting s season.
Check our Diary for Fashion Lunches We have some great tips in Health and Beauty, Drew Cooper talks us through the making of an edible garden in Education Life Skills read all about the University of the 3rd Age inspiring stuff, especially for those of us who qualify.
Nick Sutherland shares a case study, we discover the secret to happiness with Su Pilkington and are reminded just how much the Peninsula has changed in the last thirty years with the Main Ridge Estate story in Wine Country.
I hope you enjoy our social pics there s always a lot on and the next few months are no exception so check our Diary for things of interest to you and yours.
I rather fancy the Somers Art Fair, Pinot Week sounds good, definitely the Main Street Festival, can t resist a trip on the ferry to Queenscliff - especially when it s a special 25th anniversary sailing and then there are the Charity Fashion lunches ..
And speaking of lunches we had a great one at the Grand in July when we celebrated our 21st GoodLife Fashion Charity Lunch and our next will be in November date to be confirmed.
In the meantime we will be embarking on a series of intimate fun lunches and dinners exploring many of our great local restaurants and wineries and friends of the GoodLife are welcome to join us.
For a change of pace there will be no fundraising and no parades but still plenty of fun and fashion and some special treats from our hosts bookings essential see page 39 for details of the first.
